Does strep throat always have a fever?

My son's school teacher said a few kids have strep throat. He's been a bit moody and complaining of throat pain, but his temperature is normal. Does strep throat always come with a fever, or can it be mild sometimes?

At my age, even a mild cold feels like a full-blown event, but strep usually brings a proper fever along. Though honestly, my body has surprised me by having terrible throat infections with zero temperature too. Getting old is fun, isn't it?

Please don't wait for a fever to develop. I once ignored a terrible sore throat thinking it was just a normal cold because I had no fever, and it turned into a massive infection that took weeks to clear. Get it checked by a general physician immediately.

Haan, mostly to fever hota hi hai isme, par har baar zaroori nahi hai na. Kuch logon ko bina fever ke bhi severe throat pain ho jata hai. Isliye risk mat lo aur doctor ko dikha lo ek baar.

There is no fixed rule that strep must always have a fever, so don't try to self-diagnose using internet search results. If your throat is highly painful, go get a professional swab test done. Only a doctor can give you the right course.

Hey, it doesn't always have to come with a high fever, sometimes you just get a really bad sore throat. Honestly, don't stress too much about it right now. Just get a quick online consultation and rest up.

Honestly, when I had strep during my exams last year, I didn't even have a high temperature, just a super scratchy throat that made it hard to swallow tea. Don't assume it is not strep just because you don't have a fever.
