Does stevia give you cancer?

My friend recently shared an article about artificial sweeteners and health risks, which got me worried. I use Stevia quite often in my baking. Does stevia give you cancer, or is it considered a safe option?

I have been dealing with thyroid issues for years, so I always ask my doctor before changing anything in my diet. My doctor said pure stevia is generally safe and approved by global health bodies. Still, if you have health concerns, it is best to get your routine blood tests done and consult a specialist.

There are many myths floating around on WhatsApp about sweet substitutes. Stevia is actually extracted from a natural plant leaf and has been studied extensively. It does not cause cancer when used in moderate amounts, so you can safely use it in your daily tea.

I completely understand why you are feeling anxious about this, as I also lost sleep researching every single ingredient after a health scare in my family. It is very hard to know what to trust. But rest assured, major health organizations have declared stevia safe, so you can take a deep breath.

Nature has provided us with everything we need for a healthy life. Stevia is just a leaf, and in its pure form, it is safe and non-toxic. Along with choosing natural sweeteners, practicing simple daily pranayama helps keep the body’s cells healthy and clean.

Oh god, please don't stress too much about this! Internet will tell you that even breathing causes cancer these days. Stevia is totally fine and much better than chemical sweeteners, so chill out and enjoy your low-cal desserts without any guilt.
