Does stevia cause migraine headaches?

Suffering from frequent migraines, I'm trying to identify my triggers. I recently started using Stevia in my coffee instead of sugar. Could stevia be a trigger, or does stevia cause migraine headaches for anyone else?

Honestly, the only headache stevia gives me is trying to open those tiny little packets with wet hands! On a serious note, it shouldn't cause migraines, but everyone's body reacts differently to sugar substitutes. If your head is spinning, maybe switch back to normal sugar or jaggery for a bit and see.

I tried stevia in my black coffee for a week and got crazy headaches. It might not happen to everyone, but it definitely triggered something for me. I stopped using it and the headaches went away in two days, so just try avoiding it for a week.

Please don't ignore these headaches thinking it is just the stevia. I once kept blaming my diet for constant headaches and ignored it until it became a major issue. Go get your eyes and blood pressure checked by a doctor first, rather than just cutting out sweeteners.

Our bodies are very sensitive to sudden changes in what we eat and drink. Just keep a calm mind and observe how your body feels when you take stevia. If it does not suit your system, simple honey or mishri is always there as a natural blessing.

Even I freaked out when my head started aching after switching to stevia last year. But actually, my doctor told me it was just dehydration because I was drinking less water during winter. Once I drank enough water, the headaches stopped, so don't worry too much.
