Does stevia affect diabetes?

My father has diabetes, and we are trying to reduce sugar intake at home. I've started using Stevia as a sugar substitute in tea and sweets. Does stevia affect blood sugar levels or diabetes in any way, or is it perfectly safe?

Hi, stevia generally does not raise your blood sugar levels, so it is a safer option for sweet cravings. Hope you find it helpful, take care.

While stevia is a natural sweetener, it is always best to check your blood sugar levels before and after using it. Everyone's body reacts differently, so consult your diabetologist before making it a regular habit.

My endocrinologist noted that pure stevia has a glycemic index of zero and doesn't impact insulin response. However, be careful with commercial brands, as they often mix stevia with bulking agents like maltodextrin which can spike sugars.

Humare ghar mein bhi sab stevia hi use karte hain sugar ke mareezon ke liye. Isse meetha bhi ho jata hai aur sehat par bhi bura asar nahi padta.

Haan, sugar levels toh bilkul nahi badhata stevia. But some brands taste a bit weird in Indian chai, na. Try to find 100% pure organic stevia leaves or powder for the best results.

I have been diabetic for twenty years now. Switching from white sugar to pure stevia in my morning tea has helped me keep my HbA1c levels stable. It is a good choice if used in moderation.

I was recently diagnosed with prediabetes and am quite scared. I bought some stevia drops but haven't tried them yet. Does it taste very bitter in chai or coffee?

I manage both high blood pressure and borderline sugar. Stevia is safe, but along with using sweeteners, daily physical activity and regular health checkups are what keep your vitals in check.

Stevia is a practical way to cut down sugar intake when you are busy and need quick sweet options. Just buy pure stevia extracts online to avoid artificial fillers that cause gut issues.

As a sweet lover with high sugar risks, stevia is a lifesaver for making sugar-free kheer and desserts! It has a slightly bitter aftertaste, but it satisfies the cravings without ruining your health.

I use a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and tested stevia. It showed absolutely zero spike in my blood glucose levels. Just make sure the ingredient list on the pack is clean.
