Does squamous cell skin cancer hurt?

I noticed a suspicious lesion on my arm a few weeks ago. It doesn't seem to bother me much, but I'm worried it might be something serious. Does squamous cell skin cancer hurt typically, or can it be painless?

I always try to be very careful with skin issues because hormonal imbalances can cause various skin changes. From what I understand, squamous cell carcinoma can sometimes be tender or hurt when touched, especially if it grows or becomes an open sore. It's best to have any changing spot checked by a dermatologist.

My granddad had a squamous cell spot on his forehead. In the beginning, it was just dry and didn't hurt at all, but later it started itching and felt tender when he wore his cap. If you have any growing bump, better get it checked out by a doc before it starts hurting.

I delayed getting a growing sore checked because it was completely painless at first, which turned out to be a huge mistake as the infection spread. Squamous cell carcinoma can definitely become very painful and bleed as it advances. Please see an oncologist or skin specialist without any delay.

Listen, skin cancer spots do not always hurt in the early stages, so waiting for pain is a big mistake. If you have any rough patch, mole, or wound that is not healing for weeks, go to a doctor right away. It's better to be safe than sorry.

While eating antioxidant-rich foods and green vegetables supports general skin health, it cannot cure or prevent skin cancer progression. Squamous cell carcinoma can become painful, tender, or ulcerated over time. Please consult a dermatologist for a proper medical evaluation.

My elder uncle had a rough, scaly patch on his arm that started to hurt when pressed, and we thought it was just a normal wound. But our family doctor rightly advised us to get a biopsy done, and it was diagnosed as squamous cell cancer. It is always best to trust a specialist's diagnosis early rather than waiting for pain to increase.

Please do not search for symptoms online or ask for home remedies for suspected skin cancer. Whether a spot hurts or is completely painless, only a professional biopsy can confirm what it actually is. Go to a reputed dermatologist immediately and get it verified scientifically.

Squamous cell skin cancer often starts as a painless, rough red patch, but it can definitely start to hurt or bleed as it grows deeper. I always track my outdoor workouts and use high SPF sunscreen to prevent UV damage. If you have a spot that is changing or hurting, get it examined by a skin specialist.
