Does sperm cause gestational diabetes?

I'm currently pregnant and my doctor recently diagnosed me with gestational diabetes, which was a bit of a shock. My mother-in-law asked me a strange question, wondering if sperm could be a cause. This sounds completely wrong, but I wanted to clarify: does sperm cause gestational diabetes?

Gestational diabetes has nothing to do with this. It is related to hormonal changes in the mother's body during pregnancy that affect insulin. Focus on regular checkups, monitoring sugar levels, and keeping a healthy lifestyle, just like I do for my high BP.

Who is spreading these myths, haha! If this was true, pregnancy would be even more of a headache. Trust me, it's just the placenta hormones playing games with your blood sugar. Get some sleep and ignore these crazy internet stories.

Haan, bilkul nahi yaar! Sperm se gestational diabetes hone ka koi lena dena nahi hai, na. Ye sab pregnancy hormones ki wajah se hota hai. Apni diet thodi control me rakho aur sweet items se door raho.

Nahi behan, aisa bilkul nahi hota hai. Shaadi aur garbhavastha ke baare me log bahut afwahein phailate hain. Diabetes toh sharir me meetha zyada hone ya kamzori se hota hai. Apne khane-peene ka dhyan rakho aur doctor didi se baat karo.

This is completely false and medically impossible. Please do not trust random internet forums or WhatsApp forwards for pregnancy health. Always verify your queries with a qualified gynecologist to avoid unnecessary panic.

Haan na, log kuch bhi bolte hain aajkal internet par! Aisa bilkul nahi hota. Pregnancy me sugar badhna thoda normal hai par isse darna nahi chahiye. Mere doctor ne bola bas diet control karo aur walking karo rooz.

Actually, that's just a weird myth, yaar. Gestational diabetes is purely about how your pancreas reacts to pregnancy hormones. Don't stress about these random things, just do your regular blood tests and enjoy your pregnancy phase.

Agree with everyone, this is medically false. Gestational diabetes is related to placental hormones and maternal insulin resistance, so please discuss proper screening with your gynecologist.

No, this is not true at all. For managing pregnancy sugar, my mother used to suggest drinking water boiled with fenugreek seeds, which is very helpful. But if your sugar levels are high, please consult your doctor immediately for safe treatment.

Let us stick to basic facts. Gestational diabetes happens because the body cannot produce enough insulin during pregnancy. The best solution is a simple walk after meals, reducing white rice, and taking the sugar tests on time as advised by your doctor.

This is not true, but please don't take gestational diabetes lightly. I ignored my slightly elevated sugar readings during my second pregnancy, thinking it would go away, and it caused complications later. Please get your regular OGTT tests done by your doctor.

I was also terrified when I read something similar online and started overthinking. It made me so anxious during my first trimester. Is there anyone else who got scared by these weird pregnancy articles? My doctor told me it's totally safe.
