Does spending time outside improve mental health article?

Lately, I've been feeling quite stressed with work and studies. My therapist suggested spending more time outdoors. I'm looking for some scientific backing — does spending time outside really improve mental health?

Haan na, spending even 15 minutes in a park or under green trees makes such a big difference for your mood. Whenever I feel stressed with office work, I just go for a short walk on the terrace. It actually works like magic to clear your head.

I read that article too, but honestly, when I go outside into the crowded streets, my anxiety actually gets worse. Does anyone else feel overwhelmed by the noise outside instead of feeling relaxed? I prefer staying in my quiet room.

I went through a very dark phase of depression a few years ago. Sitting inside a dark room only makes it worse. My tip is to force yourself to step outside every morning for a 20-minute walk in daylight; it slowly resets your brain and energy levels.

Bro, keeping your phone away and just sitting in a park for a bit is the best therapy. I used to be glued to my screen all day and felt miserable. Now I go out for a run in the evening and my mental health is ten times better.

While fresh air is good, if you are struggling with severe anxiety or depression, please consult a qualified psychiatrist. I visit a good hospital in Pune and my doctor clearly explained that lifestyle changes are only supportive, proper medical guidance is essential.
