Does sodium saccharin cause cancer?

My mother uses artificial sweeteners in her tea due to diabetes. We were discussing if they are safe, and someone mentioned Sodium Saccharin. Does sodium saccharin cause cancer, or is it considered safe to consume?

My son wanted sugar-free sweets containing sodium saccharin, and I got so worried reading old cancer studies online. Later I learned those studies were on rats and human risk is very low in small amounts. Still, I prefer giving him natural sweeteners like jaggery or dates.

Arre, there is no need to panic about cancer from basic sweeteners. They are heavily tested and safe for consumption. If you want to be safe and save money, just reduce your overall sweet intake and use a little normal sugar or honey instead.

Honestly, we see these artificial sweeteners in so many diet sodas, and there is always some rumor about cancer. From what I read, modern science says it is totally safe in normal limits. Just don't overdo it and you should be fine!

At 50, every chemical name sounds like a disease! But sodium saccharin has been cleared of those cancer scares long ago. It is fine in moderate amounts, though I still prefer my simple cup of tea with very little normal sugar.

Eating pure and natural foods is always the best way to keep our minds and bodies healthy. While these artificial substances like sodium saccharin might not cause cancer in small amounts, choosing organic sweets is much better. Stay positive and take care.
