Does soda cause cavities?

My dentist always advises me to cut down on soft drinks. She says soda causes cavities. How bad is it really for your teeth?

Yes, absolutely. The amount of refined sugar in one can of soda is insane, and that is a direct feast for oral bacteria. If you are working out and trying to stay fit, keep these sugary drinks away, your teeth and waistline will thank you.

Haha, my dentist practically bought a new car from all the fillings he did on my teeth! Soda is like an open invitation party for cavity monsters. If you love your teeth, stay away, or get ready to make your dentist very rich.

I tried clove oil and turmeric paste for weeks to cure my tooth decay, but honestly, it only helps with temporary pain. Soda is highly acidic and ruins the enamel. The best way is to cut down on soda completely and get the cavity filled by a professional.

Omg yes, I used to drink diet coke almost every day in my hostel, and during my last dental checkup, the doc found two tiny cavities. Even the sugar-free ones have acids that erode enamel. Better to use a straw if you really have to drink it!

I ignored a mild tooth sensitivity after drinking soft drinks for months, thinking it would go away. It turned into a massive cavity and I had to undergo a painful root canal treatment. Please don't ignore dental pain, visit a dentist immediately.

Yes, the acid and sugar in soda definitely cause cavities. For mild sensitivity, you can try warm salt water rinses, but if you already have a deep cavity or sharp pain, you must see a dentist. Home remedies won't fix a decayed tooth.

Between busy office hours, we often grab sodas with lunch. But the acidity wears down your teeth enamel very fast. A quick hack is to rinse your mouth with plain water right after drinking soda if you cannot brush immediately.

Think of the dental bills, brother! A single root canal and cap can cost you 5,000 to 10,000 Rupees easily in any decent clinic. Saving 40 Rupees on a soda can now will save you thousands of Rupees in dental treatments later.

Yes, soda absolutely causes cavities due to high sugar and acid. Avoid it as much as possible.

I am too tired to even brush my teeth some nights, and drinking soda just makes everything worse. Yes, it causes cavities big time because of the constant sugar bath. Now I just drink cold water to stay awake instead of sweet sodas.

As someone who works in healthcare, I see this all the time. Soda has phosphoric and citric acids which strip away tooth enamel, making it easy for cavities to form. Try to limit sodas to weekends and make sure you brush before sleeping.

I get so anxious about dental health that I scan my teeth in the mirror after every meal! Soda is a big trigger for enamel erosion. If you are worried, maybe try reducing it slowly and use a fluoride toothpaste to protect your teeth.
