Does social media cause mental health issues?

Lately, I've been feeling quite stressed and anxious, and I spend a lot of time scrolling through social media. I'm starting to wonder if social media platforms are actually causing some of these mental health issues. Has anyone else felt this way?

Just like eating junk food harms our physical body, consuming toxic digital content harms our mind. Focus on fresh, home-cooked meals and healthy lifestyle habits, and keep your phone away during meal times to stay mindful.

Yes, excessive scrolling is directly linked to anxiety and poor sleep. It's best to limit your screen time.

I used to suffer from severe FOMO and insomnia because of late-night scrolling. What worked for me was keeping the phone in another room at night and picking up a book instead. You have to actively build these boundaries.

Aaj kal ke bache din bhar phone me ghuse rehte hain aur fir udaas hote hain. Sit with your family, drink warm chamomile tea at night, and wash your eyes with cold water. Giving your eyes and mind rest is very important.

My father always told me that excess of anything is poison, even virtual connections. When my sleep deteriorated, my doctor advised me to stop looking at screens two hours before bed. It made a huge difference to my mental well-being.

Honestly, I used to feel so low seeing everyone's perfect lives on Instagram, it really messes with your head. Now I just mute accounts that make me feel insecure and follow positive things instead. It really helps!
