Does smoking affect asthma?

My brother has asthma, and he's also a heavy smoker. I'm constantly worried about how his smoking impacts his condition. Does smoking directly affect asthma and make it worse?

Dear, smoking with asthma is like pouring oil on a fire. The smoke immediately irritates the airways and can trigger a severe attack. If you or a family member has asthma, keeping the home completely smoke-free is the very first step you must take.

Bro, my roommate has asthma and whenever someone smokes near him, he starts wheezing like crazy within minutes. It is super dangerous and he always has to keep his inhaler ready. Honestly, if you have asthma, you should stay far away from cigarettes.

Smoking causes permanent damage to the lung tissues, which makes asthma management extremely difficult and reduces the effect of inhalers. Please consult a pulmonologist immediately to check your lung capacity. It is not safe to ignore this combination.

Haan na, smoking makes asthma so much worse, it is really scary. Mere mama used to smoke and his asthma attacks became very frequent and bad. The smoke blocks the airways completely, so it is better to stay away from cigarettes and even second-hand smoke, ho na.

I smoked for thirty years while dealing with mild asthma, thinking nothing would happen to me. But by my late fifties, my lungs became extremely weak and I regretted every single cigarette. Trust me, leaving the smoke behind is the best decision you will ever make for your health.

I understand how hard it is when you have chronic breathing issues. My husband used to smoke and his asthma got so bad that even home steam and ginger teas stopped working. Once he quit smoking, his lung congestion cleared up so much. Please try your best to quit, it is the only real cure.
