Does sleep deprivation cause high blood pressure?

My father has high blood pressure, and I'm trying to maintain my health. I've been sleeping poorly due to stress from work. Could my lack of proper sleep be a reason for elevated blood pressure?

I read about this online and got so scared because my sleep has been terrible lately. I kept checking my BP every hour! Please don't panic like me, but do try to get some rest.

Please be very careful with this. I ignored my poor sleep and high BP for months until it caused major cardiovascular strain. You must see a doctor and get your BP monitored properly.

I totally get it, balancing work and family leaves us with no sleep, and then we worry about health. Yes, less sleep can spike BP temporarily because the body doesn't get time to regulate itself.

It is so exhausting when you can't sleep and your heart starts racing. I used to feel so helpless and angry at my body. Yes, sleep loss definitely elevates BP, so take it seriously but gently.

Yes, sleep deprivation absolutely raises your blood pressure. Your heart needs that resting time to lower its workload.

Actually, sleep nahi milti toh body stress mein chali jaati hai yaar. My doctor told me sleep deprivation keeps your blood pressure elevated. Don't take it lightly, change your routine.
