Does sitting on bed worsen neck pain?

Working from home for over a year now, I spend a lot of time sitting on my bed with my laptop. My neck pain has increased, so I'm wondering if sitting on the bed worsens it.

I was reading about ergonomics recently and found out that sitting on a bed actually wrecks our spine and neck posture. Since there's no proper support, we end up slouching or bending our neck downwards. It makes total sense why my neck hurts so much after working from bed.

My neck is practically frozen because I spent all night sitting awkwardly against my headboard watching shows. Beds are meant for sleeping, not for sitting and working! If you want to save yourself from sleepless, painful nights, please move to a proper chair.

Bed pe baithkar phone chalana ya laptop chalana band karo pehle. Humari peeth aur gardan bilkul seedhi nahi rehti wahan, toh dard toh badhega hi na. Ek acche table-chair pe baitho aur thoda gardan ki exercise kiya karo daily.

Sitting on the bed usually leads to a rounded spine and forward neck posture, which strains the cervical muscles. It is highly recommended to use a proper chair with lumbar support. If the neck pain persists or radiates down your arms, please consult an orthopedist.

Sitting on the bed with three pillows stuffed behind your back like a king is the ultimate recipe for neck pain! Our bodies weren't designed for bed-office work. Do your neck a favor, sit on a normal boring chair, and leave the bed for sleeping!
