Does shigaraki have eczema?

We were discussing the anime 'My Hero Academia' with my friends, and one of them said Shigaraki has eczema because of his flaky skin. Is that an official detail about the character?

My son has severe eczema on his hands, and when we watched this anime, we immediately recognized that constant scratching behavior! While Shigaraki's scratching is more of a psychological manifestation of his quirk in the story, it really looks like a severe skin allergy. Regular moisturizing is so important for kids who actually suffer from this.

This fictional character's dry skin and constant itching reminds me of what we call dry skin diseases. In real life, one should always keep the skin hydrated using coconut oil or mustard oil. Of course, if the itching is severe and causes wounds, a skin doctor must be consulted immediately.

It is interesting how they show stress triggering his itching in the show, which happens in real life too. Just like with my high blood pressure, stress can worsen skin conditions. Maintaining a calm lifestyle and going for regular medical checkups is the only way to manage such chronic issues.

I get so anxious whenever my skin starts itching even a little bit, thinking it's some chronic eczema. In the anime, his scratching is linked to his childhood trauma and his powers, but it is a good reminder to take skin health seriously. If you have similar dry skin, don't scratch it and see a dermatologist.

Haha, that's a cool crossover question! Technically, in My Hero Academia, it's a psychological condition related to his quirk rather than clinical eczema, but the symptoms match perfectly. I actually use a health tracker to monitor my hydration levels, which is super helpful for keeping skin dry-ness away in real life.

Chronic dry skin and severe itching can sometimes be a sign of internal hormonal imbalances like thyroid issues. While Shigaraki's condition is just anime lore, in real life, persistent skin issues require thorough blood tests and proper follow-up with a doctor to find the root cause.
