Does shein clothes cause cancer?

A lot of clothes from Shein are in my wardrobe, as they're so affordable. But recently, I saw some posts claiming their clothes might contain harmful chemicals. Is it true they could cause cancer?

There are some reports about chemicals in fast fashion, so I always prefer washing new clothes twice before wearing them or using simple cotton fabrics. However, if you are experiencing any unexplained skin issues, rashes, or lumps, please don't ignore it and see a doctor immediately rather than trying home care.

Haan na, even I heard some news about toxic chemicals in these cheap clothes. It is so scary! Actually, it's better to buy cotton clothes from local shops rather than risking our health with cheap polyester materials.

I got so anxious reading those articles online and literally felt like throwing away half my wardrobe. While the risk of getting cancer directly from clothes is very low, the thought of synthetic chemicals sitting on our skin is definitely worrying. Let's try to stick to natural organic brands just to be safe and peace of mind.

In our old days, we only wore pure cotton or khadi washed at home, which kept the skin healthy. These modern synthetic clothes are processed with harsh chemicals that can cause skin allergies. Wash them thoroughly with neem water or gentle soap before wearing, and keep your body safe.

I am a bit confused because I have ordered so many tops from there. Is there any specific test or standard we can check on the label to know if the dye is safe, or should we completely stop wearing them?

Environmental toxins can affect our endocrine system, which is something I have to be very careful about due to my thyroid condition. While clothes themselves might not directly cause cancer, reducing exposure to synthetic chemicals is always wise. It is best to stick to certified safe brands and keep doing regular health checkups with your doctor.
