Does sex help with kidney stones in a woman?

My aunt recently had a kidney stone removed, and it was a very painful experience for her. I overheard someone say that sex can help pass kidney stones in women. Is this true, and could it have helped her?

I just recovered from a 5mm kidney stone last month. The doctor actually mentioned that muscle relaxation during climax can help the stone move down, and it worked for me along with drinking almost 4 liters of water daily.

I have thyroid issues so my body reacts slowly to everything, and I always prefer regular medical checkups. While relaxation might help, please get an ultrasound done to track the stone size and follow up with your doctor regularly.

Having PCOS makes me very cautious about any hormonal or physical changes. I think it might help slightly by relaxing the pelvic muscles, but please don't rely only on this. Keep drinking water and check with your doc if the pain increases.

Wait, is this actually a thing? Honestly, I thought kidney stones only cleared with crazy amounts of water or surgery. Guess you learn something new every day, but definitely drink your water guys!

For women or men, the rule is the same: hydration is the only real solution. Drink plenty of water and maybe try some barley water. Don't worry about complex theories, just focus on flushing the system.
