Does salicylic acid help with dandruff?

My barber recommended a shampoo with salicylic acid for my dandruff problem. I've tried so many things already. Does it actually work for stubborn dandruff, or is it just a temporary fix?

Yes, it is very good for cleaning the dry flakes from the head. But don't use it every day, otherwise your scalp will become very dry. Twice a week is more than enough.

Yes, salicylic acid is highly effective for clearing greasy dandruff flakes. It works by gently exfoliating the scalp.

It helps remove the crusty dandruff, but remember that these chemicals can be very drying. Applying a little warm coconut oil with a drop of lemon juice an hour before washing can also help keep your scalp naturally healthy.

It actually works like a charm for dandruff, yaar. It exfoliates the scalp and gets rid of all that oily buildup. Just don't forget to use a good conditioner afterwards because it can get a bit dry.

I agree, salicylic acid works very well for oily dandruff. Just make sure to leave the shampoo on your scalp for 3 to 4 minutes before rinsing.
