Does rheumatoid arthritis qualify for social security disability?

My elder sister has severe rheumatoid arthritis, and she's finding it very hard to manage her household expenses now. I wanted to know if RA qualifies for any kind of social security or government disability benefits in India. How can we check the eligibility?

I am not 100% sure about the exact international social security rules, but usually, chronic conditions are covered if they are severe. Dealing with health issues is so draining, so please take proper medical opinions. Hope you find a smooth way through the paperwork.

Keep your spirits high during this difficult phase, dear friend. If the body is suffering, the government support systems are there to help us. Focus on your healing and let the bureaucratic process happen with patience.

I totally get it, running around for disability certificates when your joints are aching is the worst feeling. Yes, RA qualifies if you can prove it limits your daily work capacity. Please take someone's help for the physical running around.

It definitely does, but you need solid medical proof. Get your Rheumatoid Factor, anti-CCP, and X-ray records in one file. If you are applying for international social security like SSDI, the criteria for joint dysfunction are very strict.

While you sit and sort out those massive stack of disability forms, make sure to treat yourself to a nice warm bowl of soup or some light khichdi. Getting benefits is a long fight, so keep your stomach happy and your energy up!

Actually, my uncle just got his disability claim approved last month for RA. It was a long three-month process with multiple physical checkups by their panel. It is exhausting but totally doable if your mobility is heavily restricted.

Yes, it does qualify under the immune system disorders section. You must show that the arthritis affects at least two major joints or causes severe systemic issues like fatigue or fever. Keep your prescription history very clear and updated.

Managing RA is tough, just like managing severe diabetes complications. For any government disability claim, they will look at your overall physical limitations very closely. Make sure your doctor documents everything from your daily struggles to your lab results.

It is honestly so unfair how painful RA can be at such a young age. Yes, it qualifies if it stops you from working, but the paperwork takes time. Just take a deep breath and start gathering your medical files step-by-step.

Taking warm ginger tea helps me with joint stiffness, but that won't help with government forms. If your hands and legs are too painful to function, please get evaluated by a proper medical board. Serious joint inflammation needs both legal support and expert medical care.

Just like keeping my thyroid hormones under check with regular blood work, you must keep tracking your RA progress. Those consecutive blood reports and clinic visit notes are the primary evidence the disability department will ask for. Don't skip your doctor visits.

I went through this process for my sister's medical retirement benefits. You have to be very persistent because the first application often gets delayed. Get a strong, detailed letter from your primary rheumatologist stating exactly why you cannot hold a job.

I used to panic thinking a disability claim meant my life was over, but it is actually a very normal support system. Don't feel overwhelmed by the legal terms. Once you start the process, the officers guide you on what documents are missing.

My cousin advised me to try some traditional oils for the swelling, which is fine, but for legal disability, only the medical reports matter. Trust your specialist's diagnosis and ask them to help with the official disability forms. They know the exact terms to write.

According to the official listing for inflammatory arthritis, you must show inflation in one or more major joints along with systemic symptoms. My doctor told me they measure your range of motion very strictly. Keep all your inflammatory marker test results handy.
