Does rhabdomyolysis cause fever?

I recently had a really intense workout, and now I'm having severe muscle pain and feeling unwell. My trainer mentioned checking for rhabdomyolysis symptoms. Does rhabdomyolysis typically cause a fever along with the other symptoms?

Bro, I got hit with rhabdo last year after overdoing it at the gym. Honestly, I did run a mild fever along with crazy muscle pain and dark urine. You should not ignore this at all, get to an emergency room immediately.

For normal exhaustion, I always drink coconut water and rest. But if it is actual rhabdo and you have a fever, please don't try any home remedies. Go straight to a doctor because it can affect your kidneys very badly.

I am no expert, but when my cousin had this condition after a marathon, he had a pretty high fever. The doctors told him it was part of the body's inflammatory response to muscle breakdown. It's best to check with a specialist directly.

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my gym trainer mentioned it. Apparently, the muscle breakdown releases stuff into your blood that can trigger a fever. It sounds super scary, is anyone here currently dealing with this?

Yes, it absolutely can. When muscle fibers die, they release proteins and electrolytes into your bloodstream, which can cause an inflammatory reaction and fever. If you or someone else has dark tea-colored urine and a fever, please head to the hospital immediately.

Wait, I didn't even know rhabdo could cause a fever, that is crazy. Honestly, if you are feeling feverish and your muscles are totally locked up, just go get it checked. Don't risk your kidneys for a workout.

Don't waste time looking up symptoms online if you suspect rhabdo. A fever with severe muscle pain is a serious medical emergency that requires IV fluids. Skip the forums and go to a hospital right now.

I had rhabdo and ignored the initial fever, thinking it was just a normal workout flu. I ended up in the ICU with acute kidney damage because of that delay. Please, if you have a fever and swollen muscles, see a doctor today.

I agree with everyone here. A fever is a common sign of systemic inflammation in rhabdomyolysis, so please consult a physician immediately.

While eating clean and staying hydrated helps prevent general muscle fatigue, rhabdomyolysis is a different beast altogether. If there is a fever involved, no diet or hydration trick will fix it at home. Please seek medical help immediately.

I panicked so badly last month when my temperature shot up after a heavy leg day. Luckily, my blood tests came back fine and it was just a viral bug, not rhabdo. Still, getting tested early is what gave me peace of mind.

I am so sorry, I don't know much about this, but is it possible to get a fever even if the muscle pain is mild? I started working out recently and I am a bit worried about these symptoms.
