Does red wine reduce stroke risk?

My uncle recently had a stroke, and it's made me very conscious about my own health. I remember hearing that a bit of red wine can be good for the heart and might even reduce stroke risk. Is there any truth to this claim?

It's so terrifying to think about strokes and heart issues, and finding the right info is so stressful. Some articles say wine is good, others say it's bad, which makes me so anxious. I think it is safest to avoid alcohol entirely and focus on keeping BP normal.

I suffered a mild ischemic stroke last year, and I used to believe that red wine protects the blood vessels. My neurologist completely dismissed this and said alcohol actually increases blood pressure, which is the main cause of stroke. Please don't rely on wine for heart health.

My doctor told me to cut down alcohol because of high cholesterol, but my friends keep saying red wine is thin for the blood. I am very confused now. Has anyone else's doctor actually recommended red wine for heart issues, or is it just a myth?

I have been managing high blood pressure for ten years now. My doctor told me that even small amounts of alcohol can cause sudden spikes in BP, which actually raises the risk of a stroke. Regular BP monitoring and low-salt diet are what keep us safe.

According to my family physician, the 'French Paradox' idea is outdated. The amount of resveratrol in red wine is too low to prevent strokes, but the alcohol content can raise your blood pressure and triglyceride levels significantly. He advised prioritizing exercise over red wine.

Haan na, people just want an excuse to drink wine, that's why they say all this. If we eat fresh fruits and green vegetables daily, our veins will stay healthy anyway, ho na. Why take tension and drink alcohol for health?
