Does red dye 3 cause cancer?

I was reading an article online about artificial food colors and it specifically mentioned Red Dye 3 as a potentially harmful ingredient. It got me thinking about the packaged food products we consume daily. Does red dye 3 really cause cancer, or is it just a scare?

Instead of worrying about chemical names, the simplest solution is to reduce buying highly colored processed foods like bright cherries or cheap local candies. Cooking fresh meals at home naturally solves this problem without any stress.

I recently had a health scare and started researching everything I eat. Red Dye 3 is actually banned in many places because of potential risks in high doses. I have completely cut out artificial colors from my diet and feel much better.

As a vegetarian, I prefer clean eating and avoid synthetic dyes entirely. Red Dye 3 is a synthetic chemical that offers zero nutritional value anyway. It is always better to opt for foods colored naturally with pomegranate or beetroot.

I didn't even know food dyes could be harmful until I saw this question. Is Red Dye 3 present in our daily Indian spices too, or is it only in imported candies?

Please don't worry too much. The amount of Red Dye 3 we eat in daily life is extremely small and unlikely to cause harm. Just try to eat fresh food when you can.
