Does reactive arthritis go away?

I was recently diagnosed with reactive arthritis after a bad stomach infection, and I'm quite worried about it. I'm anxious if this is something I'll have to deal with forever. Does reactive arthritis typically go away on its own, or is it usually a long-term condition?

I completely understand how terrifying and exhausting this feels, especially when your joints suddenly swell up. I used to spend nights crying, thinking I would be disabled forever. But please stay strong—it really does get better and is usually temporary.

Yes, it absolutely goes away. I had a severe case of reactive arthritis after a stomach infection last year, and it took about 4-5 months of proper medication and rest to fully recover. Now I am back to my regular gym routine with zero pain.

Actually yaar, don't worry, it is not permanent. Most cases clear up in a few months on their own once the underlying infection is gone. Just don't skip the medicines your doc gave you, and take proper rest.

Yes, it is known to resolve within six months in most patients. While recovering, just focus on simple things like warm saltwater fermentation for the joints and avoiding heavy physical exertion. Keep in touch with your doctor to monitor your progress.

In my younger days, my brother suffered from this after a bad bout of food poisoning. We were all very worried, but with patience and the right doctor's care, he made a 100% recovery within a few months. Have faith, the body has a wonderful way of healing itself with time.
