Does radiation kill cancer?

My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer, and the doctors have suggested radiation therapy as part of her treatment. We are trying to understand the effectiveness of it. Does radiation actually kill cancer cells?

Yes, radiation is very effective at destroying cancer cells by damaging their DNA. While going through such heavy treatments, if you also have diabetes like me, you must monitor your sugar levels closely as stress can cause sudden spikes. Keep your diet balanced and simple.

It absolutely does! It targets those pesky cancer cells directly. Honestly, at my age, I wish there was a similar targeted beam to instantly get rid of my back pain and belly fat too, but for cancer, radiation does a pretty solid job.

Yes, radiation therapy is specifically designed to target and kill cancer cells to stop them from growing.

Oh, it definitely zaps them! Think of radiation as a highly trained laser sniper that goes after the bad guys while trying to keep the good cells safe. It sounds like science fiction, but it is super effective!

I have seen my brother undergo radiation treatment years ago, and it successfully cleared his tumor. The medical field has advanced so much now, and these machines are incredibly precise. Have courage and trust your doctors, they know exactly what they are doing.
