Does psoriatic arthritis cause swelling?

Having psoriasis, I've noticed some of my fingers and toes have become visibly swollen and stiff lately. I'm wondering if this swelling is a symptom of psoriatic arthritis. Does psoriatic arthritis typically cause such swelling in joints?

Beta, gathiya mein sujan hona bahut swabhavik hai. उंगलियां bilkul sausages jaisi ho jati hain. Halka gungune paani mein sendha namak dalkar sek karne se sujan mein thoda aaram milta hai.

Sujan toh hoti hai, but iske liye doctor uric acid aur CRP blood tests likhte hain. Kisi acchi lab ka package dekh lena jisme ye saste mein ho jaye, firaqe doctor ko report dikhana.

My fingers have suddenly swollen up and they hurt to bend. Is this how psoriatic arthritis starts? Should I see a skin doctor or a joint specialist for this?

Yes, it commonly causes painful swelling in the fingers, toes, and knees. Please get rest and consult your doctor for a proper treatment plan.

Yes, my teenager got severe swelling in his toes. We used ice packs gently to reduce the puffiness and kept his legs elevated. Please ensure they don't walk too much during active swelling.

Swelling is very common in this. Along with taking joint medication, keeping your blood pressure in check is important as high pressure can sometimes worsen fluid retention. Regular checkups are a must.
