Does psoriasis spread?

A small patch of psoriasis has started on my elbow. I'm very anxious about it growing and spreading to other parts of my body. Is it common for psoriasis to spread, and what triggers it?

It can spread to other parts of your own body over time, but it is absolutely not contagious to others. Don't waste time on self-treatment, just get a quick doctor's consult to keep it under control.

It may appear in new places when your body's internal peace is disturbed by stress. Keep your mind calm and take care of your body gently. It is not something that catches on to other people.

Yes, it can spread to your nails and even affect your joints if left untreated. I ignored a small patch and ended up with painful joint swelling. Please see a proper doctor before it spreads further.

It can grow to other areas of your skin, yes, but please remember it won't spread to family members through touch. Wishing you quick relief.

Don't worry, it only spreads on your own skin when there's a flare-up! It's not infectious at all, so your loved ones are totally safe. Keep moisturized! 😊
