Does psoriasis get worse with age?

Dealing with psoriasis for many years, lately it feels like it's becoming more severe and spreading. Is it true that psoriasis generally gets worse as one gets older, or is it just my perception?

Aisa kuch nahi hai ji. Meri dadi ko bhi tha, par umar ke sath unka badha nahi. Bas dhyan rakhna hota hai aur man shant rakhna hota hai.

It doesn't necessarily get worse, but our skin gets drier as we age, which can make psoriasis feel more stubborn. I have to manage my blood sugar strictly because high sugar makes skin healing much slower and increases inflammation.

Actually it depends on how you manage your lifestyle yaar. If you don't manage stress and weight, it might feel worse later, but otherwise it doesn't just increase because of age.

With age, other health issues like high BP and metabolic changes crop up, which can affect your skin. Regular checkups and keeping your lifestyle active are essential to keep both BP and psoriasis under control.

I tried everything from neem paste to various oils over thirty years. It doesn't get worse with age if you learn how to handle your body, but keeping the skin constantly moisturized becomes more important as we get older.

For some people, neglected psoriasis can lead to psoriatic arthritis over time. Don't wait for things to get complicated as you get older, consult your doctor and stay on a proper treatment plan.

My dermatologist explained that psoriasis is unpredictable and doesn't follow a set rule about aging. However, systemic inflammation can accumulate over decades, so long-term monitoring of joints and cardiovascular health is advised.

Bro, my uncle has had it for like thirty years. Some years it flares up, some years it's totally chill. It's not like a progress bar that keeps increasing with age.

I am 40 now and my skin is actually better today than it was in my 20s. It's because I finally found the right medical treatment last year. Age has nothing to do with it getting worse.
