Does psoriasis come and go?

Some skin patches have been appearing, staying for a while, and then fading away, only to reappear later. I'm worried it might be psoriasis. Does psoriasis typically come and go in cycles like this?

Yes, it goes through cycles of flare-ups and remission. I have noticed that eating too much oily, processed food or dairy triggers my patches again. Keeping a clean, plant-based diet helps keep the calm periods much longer.

It definitely comes and goes, but never ignore a silent period. Once I thought it was completely gone and stopped my meds, but it came back twice as bad and affected my joints too. Please stay in touch with your dermatologist even when your skin looks clear.

Mine was completely gone for six months and now it's suddenly back on my elbows. Is this normal? Does it happen to everyone else too, or is my treatment not working properly anymore?

Bro, it's a lifetime loop. It clears up in summers for me but winters are just brutal. You just learn to live with the cycle and keep your moisturizers ready.

Don't worry, this cyclical nature is the classic pattern of psoriasis. It has flare-ups triggered by stress or weather, and then it goes quiet. Just maintain your routine and don't panic when it shows up again, we can manage it.

Yes, psoriasis is a chronic condition, meaning it has active phases and quiet phases. Understanding your personal triggers—like stress, cold weather, or certain infections—is the key to keeping the remission periods long.

Absolutely, it's all about management. It'll go away for months when your stress levels and diet are sorted, and pop back during hectic work phases. Accept the cycle and stick to your skin regime.
