Does prostate cancer make you tired?

I've been feeling unusually tired and weak lately, even after a good night's sleep. My doctor suggested some tests including a prostate check. Can prostate cancer actually cause this kind of fatigue?

Yes, it definitely causes major tiredness. Don't ignore it and get their levels checked.

Yes, extreme fatigue is actually quite common with this! My uncle went through it and was sleeping almost 10 hours daily. Just keep supporting your loved one and make sure they eat well. 👍

Please do not rely on random online forums to understand cancer symptoms. Fatigue can happen due to ten different reasons, including treatment side effects. Only an oncologist can tell you the real cause after proper tests.

I am just reading up on this because my grandfather is facing similar issues. Does this tiredness happen even during the early stages, or only when the treatment starts? If anyone knows, please share.

Actually yaar, my dad was feeling so drained out even before his main diagnosis. We thought it was just old age but the fatigue was next level. Please talk to the doctor about this, it makes a big difference.

It does sap your energy, but light activity can help. When my father was recovering, we got him to do very gentle 10-minute walks and focus on high-protein, clean meals. Don't push too hard, just keep the body moving slightly.
