Does pregnancy cause skin rash?

I've developed a strange, itchy rash on my stomach and arms in the past few weeks. My mother-in-law said it might be due to the pregnancy, but I wanted to confirm if pregnancy can indeed cause skin rashes.

Yes, I had severe itchy red bumps on my stomach during my third trimester, which my doctor diagnosed as PUPPP rash. What really helped me was taking cool showers, wearing loose cotton clothes, and applying calamine lotion. If the itching gets unbearable, don't scratch; ask your doctor for a safe antihistamine.

I totally get it, dealing with an itchy rash when you are already uncomfortable is the absolute worst. Your skin is stretching so much and the hormones are acting up, making it super sensitive. Just try to stay in a cool room and apply aloe vera gel to soothe the skin.

No need to buy expensive, fancy skin creams for this. Just use simple, unscented baby soap for bathing and apply pure mustard oil or coconut oil to keep the skin moist. Also, make sure you wash your clothes in a mild detergent to avoid irritating the skin further.

I had these weird red patches on my inner thighs during my pregnancy, and it was so annoying to walk! I started using a very basic oatmeal bath and wore strictly soft, breathable cotton pants. It really made a huge difference, so give it a try!

My daughter got a very bad heat rash under her belly during her seventh month because of the heavy weight. We kept the area clean by dabbing it gently with a soft cotton cloth and using basic calamine lotion. Make sure to consult your gynaecologist to ensure it's not a liver-related itch.

Sometimes, heat rashes occur when the body's internal temperature rises during pregnancy. Doing gentle, cooling pranayama like Shitali can help calm your internal system. Combine this with fresh, simple food and keep your mind relaxed.

Yes, skin rashes can happen due to stretching and hormonal changes. Please don't worry, just keep the area clean and dry, and it should settle down soon.
