Does popping your neck cause arthritis?

When my neck feels stiff, I sometimes twist it to hear a 'pop', which gives me temporary relief. However, a colleague warned me against it, saying it can be harmful. Does popping your neck cause arthritis or other issues down the line?

Don't worry, popping your neck gently doesn't cause arthritis! It's just gas bubbles releasing in your joints. But definitely be careful not to twist your neck too sharply! 🌸

If your neck is stiff, popping it won't solve the real issue. Try doing some gentle neck rotations, shoulder shrugs, and basic upper body stretches daily. Keeping your posture active is the best way to prevent neck issues.

I was researching this because my neck is always stiff from looking at my phone. Studies show neck cracking doesn't cause arthritis, but doing it too forcefully can pinch a nerve. So a gentle stretch is fine, but don't overdo it!

I crack my neck like a snack between my meals, haha! Glad to know it doesn't cause arthritis. I guess I can continue enjoying my food and my quick neck stretches without any guilt!

I had a bad habit of cracking my neck and ended up with a severe muscle spasm once. Popping won't cause arthritis, but forceful cracking can strain your neck muscles. See a physical therapist to learn proper neck strengthening exercises instead.

Haan bilkul, neck pop karne se koi arthritis nahi hota hai. Par yaar, neck bahut sensitive area hai toh hath se jhatka dekar crack mat kiya karo. Haan, normal stretch se sound aaye toh perfectly normal hai.

I used to have this constant urge to crack my neck because of stress and then I would feel so guilty and scared of getting arthritis. It really messed with my head. I realized the popping itself is harmless, but managing my stress helped reduce the urge to crack it.
