Does plaque psoriasis go away?

Recently diagnosed with plaque psoriasis, and it's making me quite uncomfortable. Does this condition ever go away completely, or is it a lifelong thing?

It is chronic, so there is no permanent cure, but you can definitely have long periods of clear skin. My cousin has it and she manages it beautifully with proper moisturizers and the ointments her dermatologist prescribed.

Plaque psoriasis is a chronic condition, so it doesn't completely go away forever, but it can be managed. Just like managing my high blood pressure, keeping a check on your lifestyle, diet, and getting regular doctor checkups helps keep flares under control.

Please don't trust those random YouTube videos claiming to cure psoriasis in 10 days with home remedies. It is an autoimmune condition and won't just go away. Go to a qualified dermatologist and follow their medical treatment plan strictly.

I have been dealing with plaque psoriasis for 8 years now. It doesn't go away permanently, but you can go into remission. Keeping your skin well-hydrated, avoiding stress, and using prescribed topical steroids when flares start are the most realistic ways to handle it.

Honestly, dealing with the constant flaking and itching of psoriasis can be so mentally exhausting and draining. While it doesn't completely disappear, finding the right treatment will help clear your skin and give you your confidence back. Hang in there.
