Does petroleum jelly cause cancer?

I use petroleum jelly regularly for my dry skin, but recently I saw a post online suggesting it might be carcinogenic. Does petroleum jelly cause cancer? I'm quite worried now.

Honestly there is a lot of debate on this online because of refining standards. To be absolutely safe, why don't you check with a skin specialist? It is always better to get a doctor's confirmation rather than risking it with random products.

Dealing with PCOS has made me super careful about endocrine disruptors and skin products. From what I have read, cosmetic grade petroleum jelly is highly refined and generally considered safe, but I still use it sparingly. It is best to not stress but definitely buy only reputed, certified brands.

Bro I have been using Vaseline on my dry lips and heels every single winter since I was a kid. Never had any issues at all. Just buy the original branded ones and you are totally fine, dont read too many internet rumors.

No, it does not. The petroleum jelly you buy in the market goes through intense purification processes to remove any harmful compounds. Unless you are using industrial-grade grease on your face, there is absolutely zero risk.

Arre nahi baba, aisa kuch nahi hai. Purane zamane se sab use kar rahe hain na isko dry skin ke liye. Haan, bas chemical-free aur achhe brand ka lena chahiye, local brands thoda avoid karo bas.
