Does pcos go away after menopause?

My aunt told me that her PCOS symptoms disappeared after she reached menopause. I'm curious if this is true for most women. Does PCOS typically go away once a woman reaches menopause?

I wish menopause meant we could finally eat all the sweets we want without worrying about PCOS! But honestly, while the reproductive symptoms might stop, the insulin resistance and slow metabolism usually stick around. So we still have to be a bit careful with our sweet cravings even later in life.

It doesn't completely go away because it is a metabolic issue, but the monthly period struggles do end with menopause. Please take care of your health and keep moving forward gently.

My daughter has PCOS and I have been reading up on its long-term effects. Her doctor explained that even after menopause, the metabolic risks like blood sugar issues can continue. It is so important to build healthy lifestyle habits early on so they protect you in your older years.

Humare yahan sab sochte hain ki umar badhne par sab theek ho jayega, par aisa nahi hai beta. Menopause ke baad bhi sugar aur vajan ka dhyan rakhna padta hai. Achhe doctor se salah lete raho aur apna dhyan rakho.

No, it doesn't just vanish. Menopause stops your periods, but the underlying insulin and hormonal imbalances of PCOS remain active. You still need to manage your diet, stay active, and get regular cardiovascular checkups as you age.
