Does pcos cause yeast infection?

I seem to get yeast infections quite often, more than I used to before my PCOS diagnosis. I'm wondering if there's a link between the two. Is it common for PCOS to cause recurring yeast infections?

I am very new to managing my PCOS and I have been getting these uncomfortable vaginal infections lately. I was too shy to ask anyone about it. Does the high blood sugar from insulin resistance actually make yeast grow more easily down there?

I was reading some health articles and learned that insulin resistance in PCOS leads to higher sugar levels in body fluids, which yeast absolutely loves to feed on. It seems like a very logical connection. Has anyone found specific lifestyle changes that help prevent this?

Yes, it can. The high insulin levels associated with PCOS can definitely increase your risk of recurring yeast infections.

With my thyroid issues and hormonal imbalances, I also notice that vaginal health gets affected very easily. It is so important to do regular blood sugar and hormone tests to keep track of these shifts. Regular follow-ups with your gynecologist are key to managing this.

I have been getting yeast infections almost every alternate month and it is driving me crazy and making me so anxious. Is this really a common thing with PCOS? Please tell me how you guys manage to stop these infections from coming back.

When I consulted my specialist at the hospital for chronic yeast infections, she clearly explained that hormonal imbalances and insulin issues in PCOS create a perfect environment for yeast. Please don't self-medicate with over-the-counter creams; ask your doctor for a proper antifungal treatment.

My wife used to get really painful yeast infections and we finally found out it was linked to her undiagnosed PCOS and high blood sugar. Once she started her PCOS treatment, the infections completely stopped. Get a proper checkup done guys, it helps a lot.

I personally struggled with chronic yeast infections for a year alongside my PCOS diagnosis. For me, reducing my daily sugar intake and wearing loose cotton clothing made a massive difference. Everyone's body is different, but this was my experience.
