Does pcos cause mood swings?

My family and friends have pointed out that I've been having sudden mood swings recently, and it's quite affecting my daily life. I have PCOS, and I'm curious if this condition can actually be the reason behind these emotional ups and downs.

I completely understand what you are going through, the sudden anger and sadness can be so overwhelming. I found that having warm chamomile tea at night and practicing slow breathing helped calm my mind. Small lifestyle habits like these won't cure PCOS, but they surely make the mood swings easier to handle.

Mood swings are a widely reported symptom of PCOS due to estrogen and progesterone fluctuations. However, severe anxiety or depression shouldn't be ignored or just brushed off as PCOS. Please consult your doctor to ensure there isn't any other underlying mental or physical health issue.

Haan bilkul, humare yahan bhi bahot ladkiyon ko yeh dikkat hoti hai. Kabhi khush to kabhi bina baat ke rona aa jata hai. Apne gharwalon se baat karo aur bilkul akela mat mehsus karo, yeh sab hormonal gadbadi ki wajah se hi hai.

I literally cry at insurance commercials sometimes and then get so worried that something is deeply wrong with my brain! Knowing that it is just my PCOS hormones helps, but it still makes me so anxious. We just have to support each other through these crazy emotional rollercoasters.

Instead of booking expensive therapy sessions right away, first get your thyroid and vitamin D3 levels tested, as these are often cheap to test and directly affect mood. Many diagnostic labs offer discount packages online. Getting these basic physiological factors checked first is much more practical.

Please don't start drinking random herbal juices or trying viral internet hacks to 'balance your hormones' and fix mood swings. Some of these herbs can actually make your PCOS worse. Go to a certified gynecologist, get your hormone levels checked, and follow their medical advice.

Hormones can play havoc with your peace of mind. I always suggest a quick strength training session or even a run when you feel irritable. Working out releases endorphins which act as natural mood lifters, helping you manage those sudden emotional shifts much better.
