Does pcos cause higher testosterone?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS, and my reports showed elevated testosterone. I'm trying to understand how this condition impacts hormones. Does PCOS cause higher testosterone levels, or is it a symptom?

Yes, it definitely causes higher testosterone levels, haan na. That is why we get those annoying pimples and hair on the chin. It is better to get a proper blood test done.

It does, and that high testosterone is closely linked to insulin resistance. Lifting weights and focusing on a high-protein diet really helped my sister manage her androgen levels effectively.

Yes, elevated testosterone is a primary sign of PCOS. Cutting down on refined sugar is the easiest way to start bringing those levels down.

Actually, yes, yaar. PCOS causes the ovaries to produce excess male hormones. My friend had to take specific hormone-balancing pills prescribed by her gynecologist to fix it.

My daughter's blood reports showed higher testosterone due to her PCOS. We focused on reducing her stress and preparing fresh home meals, and her recent test reports have shown a good improvement.

Seeing 'high testosterone' on my lab report made me feel so bad about my body. It is a really tough thing to process emotionally, but please know it is just a chemical imbalance and doesn't change who you are.
