Does pcos affect sex drive?

After my PCOS diagnosis, I've noticed a significant change in my sex drive, which has become much lower. I'm wondering if this is a known effect of PCOS. Does PCOS generally affect a woman's sex drive or desire for intimacy?

Yes, it absolutely can and it's very common because our hormones are totally fluctuating. I faced this for two years and felt so guilty, but tracking my cycle and working on strength training actually helped regulate things. Don't stress, just focus on keeping your stress levels low first.

Actually, my sex drive went down to zero last year due to severe PCOS. But I started a clean diet, cut down on sugar, and my doctor started me on some basic supplements. I can honestly say I feel 100% back to my normal self now, so don't lose hope.

Hey there! Yes, those crazy hormones love to play spoilsport with our mood! 🌸 Try not to stress too much because high cortisol makes it worse. Focus on self-care and delicious healthy food, things will get back on track!

Oh God, I used to stay up late worrying if my relationship would fail because of this low drive. It is a very real medical symptom, so please don't blame yourself or feel like something is wrong with you. Just knowing it is a common PCOS issue brought me so much relief.

I totally understand what you are going through, it can feel so frustrating. I tried eating flaxseeds and drinking spearmint tea which helped my general PCOS symptoms a bit, but honestly, resolving the root stress was the main thing. Please be gentle with yourself.

My grandmother used to say eating certain warm foods affects our mood and energy, but my gynaecologist explained it is purely hormonal imbalance from PCOS. I highly recommend talking to your doctor once. They can do some basic blood tests and guide you beautifully.

Yes, my wife went through this too and her doctor said it is totally normal. Regular mild exercise together helped us both feel better and reduced her fatigue immensely.

Hormonal changes in conditions like PCOS can definitely impact libido. There is no shame in discussing this openly. It is best to consult an endocrinologist or your gynecologist to see how to balance your hormone levels safely.
