Does parkinson cause leg pain?

My husband has Parkinson's, and he often complains about severe pain in his legs, especially at night. We're trying to understand if this leg pain is a symptom of Parkinson's itself or if it's something unrelated. Does Parkinson's disease typically cause leg pain?

My uncle had this and a light mustard oil massage really helped soothe his stiff legs in the evening. But look, Parkinson's is very complex, so please don't just rely on home remedies. Definitely check with your doctor first if the pain is getting worse.

Beta, in our times we used to soak feet in warm water with rock salt to relieve joint and leg pains, which does give some relief. But for Parkinson's, the muscles can get very tight, so you must follow the doctor's medicine routine very strictly. Regular light stretching under supervision also helps.

Yes, actually. Our neurologist explained that rigidity and muscle cramps are very common in Parkinson's, which directly causes leg pain. The doctor adjusted the medication dosage and suggested specific physiotherapy exercises, which made a huge difference for my father.

It is so heartbreaking to watch a loved one go through this, especially when they complain of constant aching in their legs. Please hang in there and know you are not alone in this struggle. It gets very exhausting, but keeping a doctor closely in the loop helps manage the pain better.

Hey, my grandfather went through this and yes, he used to complain about leg pain and stiffness quite a bit. What really helped him was gentle daily walks when his medicine was active, and keeping a hot water bag handy. Just take it one day at a time, you are doing great.

My grandmother used to say a warm sesame oil massage is very good for joint stiffness. We did that, but we also made sure to consult her main doctor in Chennai regularly. The prescribed medicines are what actually controlled the tremors and the pain, so trust your doctor.

Leg cramps are the worst, especially when they disturb your peace. When my dad had stiffness, the doc suggested keeping him well hydrated and giving him bananas for potassium. At least it was a sweet excuse for him to enjoy some extra fruit and milkshakes!

I don't have Parkinson's, but my thyroid issues cause terrible muscle aches and leg pain if my levels are off. It is so important to get regular blood tests and consult your specialist regularly. Don't let the symptoms drag on without a proper doctor's visit.
