Does pancreatitis pain come and go?

I've been having these sharp abdominal pains that seem to come and go, especially after eating. My doctor mentioned pancreatitis as a possibility. Does the pain from pancreatitis typically fluctuate like that?

I was just reading up on this because a colleague was complaining about stomach issues. From what I found, chronic pancreatitis pain can definitely come and go, often triggered after eating heavy or fatty meals. It seems like it can be really unpredictable.

Yes, the pain can be intermittent, especially in chronic cases where it flares up occasionally. When my uncle was admitted to Apollo, the doctors explained that managing diet is key to preventing these painful episodes. Please get a proper consult and ask your gastroenterologist for a clear management plan.

Yes, it acts like that annoying guest who keeps visiting without warning! The pain can disappear for weeks and then pop back right after you eat something greasy. Don't play guessing games with it though, get a doc to take a look so you can eat in peace.

Yes, pancreatitis pain can fluctuate and often gets worse after you eat fat-heavy food. If you are prone to this, staying on a very low-fat, simple vegetarian diet with small meals helps keep the pain from flaring up. However, please consult a clinical dietitian before changing your eating habits.

While I only have experience dealing with PCOS-related abdominal cramps, I know that internal pain that comes and goes can be very tricky to track. Pancreatitis pain is known to flare up and then dull down, but it shouldn't be ignored. It's much safer to have a specialist run some tests to find the root cause.

It is honestly exhausting because the pain comes and goes, leaving you constantly anxious about when the next attack will happen. I remember crying out of frustration because I felt fine one day and was in agony the next. Please seek professional help, you don't have to suffer through this uncertainty.

Yes, the pain can come and go, but you must not try to treat it at home with carom seeds or hot water bags. Pancreatitis is a serious internal inflammation. If you are experiencing this kind of fluctuating severe pain, please go see a doctor immediately.
