Does pain burn calories?

I had a sports injury recently, and the pain is quite intense. I'm wondering, does my body actually burn more calories when I'm experiencing pain, like when exercising?

I have been in a lot of physical discomfort lately and noticed my weight dropped slightly. Does pain actually make your body burn more calories because of the stress? Has anyone else felt this happen to them?

Haan yaar, technically toh jab body pain mein hoti hai toh heart rate badhta hai aur stress se thode calories burn hote hain na. But yeh koi healthy tarika nahi hai weight loss ka! Agar bohot pain hai toh doctor se dawai le lo.

Bro, if pain burned calories, I would be a supermodel by now with all my gym soreness! It might raise your heart rate slightly, but it's not a real workout. Better to get some rest and consult a doctor if you are in actual pain.

Yes, extreme pain can slightly raise your metabolic rate due to stress, but it is very minimal. Please focus on pain relief first and consult your physician.

Honestly, pain only burns calories because you lose your appetite and stop eating properly. When I had a bad toothache, I barely ate for three days and lost weight. It is better to get the pain treated by a professional rather than worrying about calories.
