Does oxycodone affect the liver?

I've been taking Oxycodone for chronic pain for a while now, and I'm starting to worry about its long-term effects on my body. Specifically, I'm concerned if it can cause any damage or issues with my liver.

Look brother, these heavy pain medicines can put pressure on the body if taken for a long time. It is always best to eat simple food and not take these pills without asking the doctor. Our liver is very precious, we must protect it.

In my long life, I have seen many people take strong pain relievers after surgeries. If you take it exactly as the doctor prescribed for a short time, the liver usually tolerates it fine. Just don't self-medicate or take extra doses.

Haan na, heavy medications like this can affect the liver, especially if mixed with paracetamol or alcohol. It is better to get regular liver function tests if you are using it long term. Always consult the doctor first, ho na.

We should always try to use natural remedies like ginger or warm compresses for mild pain to avoid these hard medicines. But since oxycodone is a very strong drug, you must talk to your doctor immediately if you notice any yellowing of eyes or dark urine.

My grandmother used to say that any strong English medicine should be treated with respect. For strong painkillers, the liver has to work extra hard to process them. Please follow your specialist's advice strictly and don't take it longer than needed.
