Does osteoporosis cause pain in the hips?

I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis, and my hips have been aching a lot lately. Is this joint pain directly related to the osteoporosis, or could it be something else entirely causing this specific discomfort?

Haan na, normally osteoporosis silently bones weak karta hai, direct pain nahi hota. Par agar hip area mein thoda bhi fall hua aur hairline crack aa gaya, toh bahut dard hota hai. Doctor ko dikhana hi padega.

When my father had hip pain, we went to Max Hospital. The specialist told us osteoporosis itself doesn't hurt unless there is a micro-fracture or arthritis also present. Go to a proper orthopedic hospital and get an X-ray done.

I have had osteoporosis for 12 years now. Believe me, my hips never pained because of it until I actually tripped over a wire. Keep your floors clean and clutter-free to avoid falls, that is the main thing.

I manage my diabetes very strictly, and we have to be careful about bone health too. Bone loss in the hip is silent, but if you have constant pain, it might be joint wear and tear. Keep your sugar in control and see your physician.

My mother used to say we must eat black urad dal for hip strength. But when my sister developed hip pain, we realized it was due to early arthritis, not just her osteoporosis. Always trust a medical diagnosis over guess-work.

My grandma had this exact doubt! Her hip pain turned out to be muscle stiffness from sitting too much, not her osteoporosis. Mild stretching under a physio's guidance helped her a lot.

Yes, osteoporosis is silent until a fracture occurs. Get a bone density test to check your hip health.

Hey, don't stress too much! Osteoporosis is a silent thing, so the hip pain might just be from a wrong sleeping position or gym strain. Just get it checked by a doc to be safe, cool?

While osteoporosis itself is a painless thinning of bones, keeping them strong is crucial. I focus on ragi, curd, and milk for calcium. If your hip already hurts, consult an orthopedic doctor to check for cartilage wear.

No, osteoporosis is asymptomatic. If you are experiencing hip pain, it's likely due to bursitis, osteoarthritis, or a strain. Try tracking your daily activity and consult a physical therapist.

I monitor my BP daily and do my bone checkups annually. Hip pain shouldn't be ignored, but osteoporosis only hurts if a bone collapses. Keep your lifestyle active and get a proper diagnosis.

If it is just mild discomfort, it could be muscle weakness. Try wearing supportive footwear and avoiding sitting on very low stools. For osteoporosis, taking your calcium-D3 pill regularly as prescribed is the best solution.

Honestly, between my night shifts and back pain, my body feels 80 anyway. But scientifically, osteoporosis won't pain in the hip unless you cracked it or have bad posture from sitting all day. Get some rest and see a doc.

Bhaiyya, haddi kamzor hone par dard nahi hota jab tak chot na lage. Agar choolhe ke paas gir gaye toh dikkat badh jayegi. Doctor babu ko dikhao aur dhyan rakho.

Do not listen to anyone telling you to drink random herbal juices for hip pain. Osteoporosis is a serious condition that makes bones fragile. If your hip hurts, get a medical scan done immediately to rule out any joint damage or fracture.
