Does orajel help with nerve tooth pain?

I'm having terrible nerve pain in one of my teeth, it's really unbearable. I have some Orajel at home that I usually use for regular toothaches. Does Orajel help with nerve tooth pain specifically, or is it not strong enough for that?

Orajel only numbs the surface of the gum for a very short time, it cannot reach the actual nerve deep inside. Just like I have to do regular blood tests for my thyroid to keep it under control, you need a dentist to look at the nerve issue properly.

I had severe nerve pain and tried over-the-counter gels, but they were useless. I went to a reputed dental hospital and the doctor clearly told me that only a root canal or specific pain killers can touch nerve pain. Please consult your dentist immediately.

Oh God, nerve pain is literally the worst, I could not sleep for two nights! Orajel only gave me relief for like ten minutes because it is just a surface numbing cream. Warm saltwater rinses helped a little bit until I could get to my dentist.

Nerve pain toh bahot kharab hota hai, haan na. Orajel temporarily thoda numb karega par main problem solve nahi hogi. Best hai doctor ke paas jaakar proper treatment karwa lo as soon as possible.

As a diabetic, I have to be extremely careful with dental infections because they can spike blood sugar levels. Orajel is just a temporary local gel and won't cure a deep nerve infection. Please get a proper dental checkup and check your sugars too.
