Does omega 3 help arthritis?

My knees have been hurting a lot lately due to arthritis, especially in the mornings. My neighbour swears by omega-3 supplements for her joint pain. Can omega 3 actually help with arthritis symptoms?

Yes, Omega 3 is very helpful for managing arthritis. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce joint stiffness, especially in the morning. I have seen many people in this group find comfort by including fish oil or flaxseed oil in their routine.

My doctor at Kokilaben Hospital told me that while Omega 3 reduces joint inflammation, it is not a replacement for my arthritis medication. You should ask your doctor clearly about the exact daily dosage required, as generic over-the-counter pills may not have enough EPA/DHA.

I take Omega 3 for my PCOS-related joint inflammation and it seems to help mildly. But please don't expect instant results, it takes at least 2-3 months to show a difference. Be gentle with your body and don't stop your regular treatments.

Please consult a doctor before starting Omega 3 if you are taking blood thinners. I started fish oil on my own for joint pain and had some bleeding issues because it can thin the blood. Always get a professional opinion first.

Don't worry, arthritis can be managed well. Omega 3 is a great natural way to support your joints alongside your regular therapy. Just make sure you purchase a high-quality brand and take it after meals to avoid any acidity.

It definitely helps, ho na. My mother's joint swelling reduced quite a bit after she started taking fish oil. But you have to be consistent, taking it once in a while won't help much. Give it some time to work.

My grandmother has bad arthritis and our family doctor actually recommended Omega 3 capsules for her. She says her knees feel a bit less stiff now when she goes for her morning walks. Worth a shot for sure!

At 55, my joints creak like old wooden doors! Omega 3 has definitely oiled the hinges a bit, if you know what I mean. Don't expect to run marathons, but it surely makes getting out of bed less painful.
