Does norovirus come with fever?

My whole family has been down with a stomach bug. My kids are mostly okay, but my husband has a low-grade fever along with the stomach upset. We suspect it's norovirus, and I'm wondering if fever is a common part of the illness.

Yes, a low-grade fever can definitely happen with norovirus. When I caught it, the fever and stress also caused my blood pressure to fluctuate quite a bit, so I had to monitor my readings carefully. Make sure to get a proper checkup if you feel too dizzy.

It definitely comes with a low fever sometimes, which just adds to the misery because you can't even enjoy your favorite food! For two days, even the thought of butter chicken made me feel sick. Stick to light khichdi until the fever and stomach drama settle down.

Yes, my school-going daughter had a mild fever of about 100 degrees when she got norovirus last term. It usually doesn't last long, maybe a day or two. Just keep monitoring their temperature and give them paracetamol only if the doctor advises it.

I have a mild fever of 99.5 along with bad nausea today. Did others also experience this kind of low fever before the actual stomach issues started? I am quite scared of vomiting.

Yes, norovirus can present with a low-grade fever, body chills, and fatigue. It is your body's natural defense mechanism working. Just focus on hydration with ORS and coconut water, and it should resolve in 48 hours.
