Does norovirus cause fever?

My wife has been quite ill with what seems like a stomach bug. We're thinking it could be norovirus, given recent news about it. I'm trying to understand the symptoms better – is fever a common symptom of norovirus, or does it mainly affect the digestive system?

Yes, it can cause a mild, low-grade fever along with all that stomach drama. But don't stress too much, it usually settles down on its own within 24 to 48 hours. Just keep sipping water and take plenty of rest, okay?

Haan, norovirus mein low fever hona bilkul normal hai, na. Body infection se fight kar rahi hoti hai toh temperature thoda badh jata hai. Agar fever bahut zyada ho toh turant doctor ko consult kar lena.

As if the constant trips to the bathroom weren't enough, this virus loves to give you a mild fever and body aches too! It is basically a full-body workout that nobody asked for. Just hang in there and keep drinking your ORS.

I was just reading up on gastroenteritis, and apparently, about half of the people who get norovirus also run a low-grade fever. It is just your immune system reacting to the virus. It usually doesn't get very high, luckily.

Yes, a low fever, chills, and muscle aches are very common symptoms of norovirus. The most important thing is to prevent dehydration, especially in young children and elders. Keep giving them small sips of liquids regularly.
