Does na beer hurt your liver?

My husband has been trying to reduce his alcohol intake, so he started drinking non-alcoholic beer. I'm just a little worried, does it hurt your liver in any way? Want to make sure he's making a healthy switch.

Look, NA beer has almost zero alcohol, so for a healthy person, it won't do much damage. But let's be real, it still has calories and carbs which can lead to fatty liver if you are chugging them daily. Keep it in moderation and you should be totally fine.

Actually, I was searching this up last week because my cousin drinks them a lot. It seems most brands have about 0.05% to 0.5% alcohol, which is almost nothing, but some doctors still say it is not completely risk-free if someone has severe liver damage. Quite interesting to read about it.

I completely understand why you are worried about this, health anxiety makes us question every small thing we consume. Don't stress too much as NA beer is usually very low risk compared to the regular stuff. Take a deep breath, you are just being cautious which is a good thing.

As a general rule, NA beer won't harm a healthy liver in normal amounts because the liver processes that tiny trace of alcohol very easily. However, if you are taking medications that load the liver, even minor amounts can cause a reaction. It's always practical to run it by your doctor during your next visit.

Even though it is marketed as non-alcoholic, there is always some chemical processing involved in these drinks. If you have any history of liver issues or family health problems, please get a liver function test done. Safe side is always best, so ask your doctor before drinking it regularly.

Yes, true, it is generally much safer than normal beer. Just make sure to read the labels carefully because some local brands have more hidden sugar than you think.
