Does my son have asthma?

My 5-year-old son often has a persistent cough, especially at night and after playing vigorously. Sometimes he also sounds a bit wheezy. I'm getting worried, and I wonder if these could be symptoms of asthma.

Don't jump to expensive private tests immediately. Take him to a good pediatrician first to see if it is just a seasonal allergy. A basic physical exam is usually very cheap and will clarify if you actually need asthma lung function tests.

For mild congestion, warm tulsi water with a little honey can help soothe his throat, but asthma is a serious breathing issue. If you see him wheezing or struggling to breathe, please do not rely on home remedies. Take him to a doctor immediately.

I have had asthma since I was a kid. Constant wheezing, coughing at night, and shortness of breath when playing are the main signs. If he has these, just take him to a doc, they will probably give him an inhaler which makes life super easy.

Oh God, breathing issues in kids are so scary, I always get super anxious when my nephew coughs even a little! Please don't search too much on Google because it will only panic you more. Get him checked by a pediatrician today itself for your peace of mind.

Make sure his room is completely dust-free and keep him active, but don't ignore persistent coughing after running. Asthma can only be diagnosed by a professional. Keep his diet clean and get him evaluated by a doctor.

My own son used to wheeze heavily during winters when he was young, we feared it was asthma but he completely outgrew it by age ten. Children's airways are very sensitive. Just have a quiet talk with a good doctor, they will guide you well.

My younger brother had similar symptoms last winter and we all thought it was asthma, but it turned out to be a dust allergy. Just get a quick checkup done at a clinic. It is better than guessing online, honestly.

Dekho, don't sit and guess about breathing problems. If the child is wheezing or has a dry cough that doesn't go away, take him straight to a doctor. Do not try any self-medication for kids, it is not safe.

Between my kid's late-night coughing fits and my zero hours of sleep, I am barely functioning. If your son is coughing constantly at night, please take him to a doc. It could be asthma or just a viral thing, but a professional opinion will let everyone sleep better.

Wheezing and chest tightness are classic symptoms, but you cannot self-diagnose asthma. Air pollution in metro cities makes breathing issues very common now. Take him to an allergist or pediatrician for a proper diagnosis.

I completely understand the panic and stress you must be feeling watching your child struggle with a cough. It is natural to feel scared. Please schedule an appointment with a pediatrician so they can check his chest and reassure you.

Breathing is the source of life. While simple pranayama exercises like Anulom Vilom are highly beneficial for lung strength as children grow, you must consult a doctor first for an accurate diagnosis if he has severe breathing difficulty.
