Does music help you sleep?

Lately, I've been having trouble falling asleep quickly at night. My friend suggested listening to some calming music before bed. I was wondering if music actually helps improve sleep quality or if it's just a distraction.

Beta, listening to calm spiritual songs or flute music before sleeping can quieten the mind. Traditional bedtime prayers or light instrumental ragas have been used for generations to help the body rest. Just keep the volume very low.

It definitely helps me when my mind is racing after a long day. I usually play soft lo-fi beats or rain sounds on a 30-minute timer so it turns off automatically. It is a really practical way to transition into sleep mode.

According to my smartwatch sleep data, my deep sleep percentage actually improved when I started listening to delta wave binaural beats before bed. There are many great free apps that track this and offer sleep soundscapes.

Listening to relaxing ambient tracks after a light evening walk really helps transition my body into recovery mode. Good sleep is crucial for muscle repair, so if music helps you wind down, it is a great addition to your fitness routine.
