Does ms cause head pain?

My aunt was recently diagnosed with MS, and she's been complaining of severe headaches lately. We're all a bit worried, so I was wondering if this is a common symptom. Is head pain linked to MS?

Yes, headaches and facial pain can happen with MS. Just like I have to keep my thyroid levels monitored regularly to avoid symptoms, you must follow up with your doctor routinely to manage these nerve-related pains safely.

I am quite new to learning about MS and was wondering about this too. Does the head pain feel like a normal headache, or is it more like a sharp, sudden nerve pain? I would love to know if anyone can share their experience.

Yes, I get these intense, sharp head pains quite often and it always makes me so worried. Does anyone else here experience this frequently, or is it just me? It really gets scary sometimes.

Yes, MS can indeed cause headaches and a specific sharp facial nerve pain called trigeminal neuralgia. Keep a simple diary of when these pains occur and show it to your neurologist during your next visit.
